ARE YOU HUNGRY?

Like newborn babies, thirst for the pure milk of the word so that by it you may grow in your salvation.
I Peter 2:2 (ISV)

Those who are hungry and thirsty to be right with God are happy, because they will be filled.
Matthew 5:6 (NLV)

Jesus said to them, “I Am The Bread Of Life. He who comes to Me will never be hungry. He who puts his trust in Me will never be thirsty.”
John 6:35 (NLV)

WHAT ARE THE WORKS OF THE FLESH?

The wrong things the sinful self does are clear: committing sexual sin, being morally bad, doing all kinds of shameful things, worshiping false gods, taking part in witchcraft, hating people, causing trouble, being jealous, angry or selfish, causing people to argue and divide into separate groups, being filled with envy, getting drunk, having wild parties, and doing other things like this. I warn you now as I warned you before: The people who do these things will not have part in God’s Kingdom.
Galatians 5:19-21 (ERV)

Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified their sinful self. They have given up their old selfish feelings and the evil things they wanted to do.
Galatians 5:24 (ERV)

WHAT IS SPIRIT VERSES FLESH?

I advise you to obey only The Holy Spirit’s instructions. He will tell you where to go and what to do, and then you won’t always be doing the wrong things your evil nature wants you to do.

For we naturally love to do evil things that are just the opposite from the things that The Holy Spirit tells us to do; and the good things we want to do when The Spirit has His way with us are just the opposite of our natural desires. These two forces within us are constantly fighting each other to win control over us, and our wishes are never free from their pressures.

When you are guided by The Holy Spirit, you need no longer force yourself to obey Jewish laws.
Galatians 5:16-18 (TLB)

In that way, Jesus did for us what the Law said had to be done. We do not do what our sinful old selves tell us to do anymore. Now we do what The Holy Spirit wants us to do.
Romans 8:4 (NLV)

ARE YOU A SERVANT OF GOD?

If anyone wants to serve Me, he must follow Me. So where I AM, the one who want to serve Me will be there also. If anyone serves Me, My Father will honor him.
John 12:26 (NLV)

No servant can have two bosses. He will hate the one and love the other. Or, he will be faithful to one and not faithful to the other. You cannot be faithful to God and to riches at the same time.
Luke 16:13 (NLV)

Whatever work you do, do it with all your heart. Do it for The Lord and not for men. Remember that you will get your reward from The Lord. He will give you what you should receive. You are working for The Lord Christ.
Colossians 3:23-24 (NLV)

DO YOU HAVE AN INHERITANCE?

And everyone who has given up houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or property, for My sake, will receive a hundred times as much in return and will inherit eternal life.
Matthew 19:29 (NLT)

And since we are His children, we are His heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s Glory. But if we are to share His glory, we must also share His suffering.
Romans 8:17 (NLT)

That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him.”
I Corinthians 2:9 (NLT)

HAVE YOU MADE MONEY, PEOPLE, OR THINGS AN IDOL?

No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon (money, possessions, fame, status, or whatever is valued more than The Lord).
Matthew 6:24 (AMP)

They traded the truth of God for a lie. They bowed down and worshiped the things God made instead of worshiping The God who made those things. He is the One who should be praised forever. Amen.
Romans 1:25 (ERV)

And how does a man benefit if he gains the whole world and loses his soul in the process?
Mark 8:36 (TLB)

DO YOU STRUGGLE WITH ADDICTIONS?

I know I am rotten through and through so far as my old sinful nature is concerned. No matter which way I turn I can’t make myself do right. I want to but I can’t. When I want to do good, I don’t; and when I try not to do wrong, I do it anyway. Now if I am doing what I don’t want to , it is plain where the trouble is: sin still has me in its evil grasp.

It seems to be a fact of life that when I want to do what is right, I inevitable do what is wrong. I love to do God’s will so far as my new nature is concerned; but there is something else deep within me, in my lower nature, that is at war with my mind and wins the fight and makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me. In my mind I want to be God’s willing servant, but instead I find myself still enslaved to sin.

So you see how it is: my new life tells me to do right, but the old nature that is still inside me loves to sin. Oh, what a terrible predicament I’m in! Who will free me from my slavery to this deadly lower nature? Thank God! It has been done by Jesus Christ our Lord. He has set me free.
Romans 7:18-25 (TLB)

HAVE YOU LOST YOUR JOY?

I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in Him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the Power of The Holy Spirit.
Romans 15:13 (NLT)

The humble will be filled with fresh joy from The Lord. The poor will rejoice in The Holy One of Israel.
Isaiah 29:19 (NLT)

Let the joy of Your Saving Power return to me. And give me a willing spirit to obey You.
Psalm 51:12 (NLV)

ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED?

God saved you by His Grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.
Ephesians 2:8-9 (NLT)

This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
II Corinthians 5:17 (NLT)

I give My sheep eternal life. They will never die, and no one can take them out of My Hand. My Father is the One who gave them to Me, and He is greater than all. No one can steal My sheep out of His Hand.
John 10:28-29 (ERV)

These “against-Christ” people used to be members of our churches, but they never really belonged with us or else they would have stayed. When they left us it proved that they were not of us at all.
I John 2:19 (TLB)
