ARE YOU A GIVER?

For if you give, you will get! Your gift will return to you in full and overflowing measure, pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, and running over. Whatever measure you use to give, large or small, will be used to measure what is given back to you.
Luke 6:38 (TLB)

By everything I did, I showed how you should work to help everyone who is weak. Remember that our Lord Jesus said, “More blessings come from giving than from receiving.”
Acts 20:35 (CEV)

But remember this, if you give little, you will get little. A farmer who plants just a few seeds will get only a small crop, but if he plants much, he will reap much.
II Corinthians 9:6 (TLB)

Everyone must make up his own mind as to how much he should give. Don’t force anyone to give more than he really wants to, for cheerful givers are the ones God prizes.
II Corinthians 9:7 (TLB)

It is possible to give away and become richer! It is also possible to hold on too tightly and lose everything. Yes, the liberal man shall be rich! By watering others, he waters himself.
Proverbs 11:24-25 (TLB)

He who gives to the poor will never want, but many bad things will happen to the man who shuts his eyes to the poor.
Proverbs 28:27 (NLV)

When you give to the poor, don’t blow a loud horn. That’s what show-offs do in the meeting places and on the street corners, because they are always looking for praise. I can assure you that they already have their reward.
Matthew 6:2 (CEV)

For this is how God loved the world; He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16 (NLT)

GOT A PROBLEM WITH AUTHORITY?

Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you.
Hebrews 13:17 (NIV)

Remind them to submit to rulers and authorities. They should be obedient and ready to do every good thing.
Titus 3:1 (CEB)

Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God. So anyone who rebels against authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and they will be punished.
Romans 13:1-2 (NLT)

For the authorities do not strike fear in people who are doing right, but in those who are doing wrong. Would you like to live without fear of the authorities? Do what is right, and they will honor you.
Romans 13:3 (NLT)

The authorities are God’s servants, sent for your good. But if you are doing wrong, of course you should be afraid, for they have the power to punish you. They are God’s servants, sent for the very purpose of punishing those who do what is wrong. So you must submit to them, not only to avoid punishment, but also to keep a clear conscience.
Romans 13:4-5 (NLT)

Jesus came and told His disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth.”
Matthew 28:18 (NLT)

Let Christ Himself be your example as to what your attitude should be. For He, who had always been God by Nature, did not cling to His prerogatives as God’s Equal, but stripped Himself of all privilege by consenting to be a slave by nature and being born as mortal man. And having become man, He humbled Himself by living a life of utter obedience, even to the extent of dying, and the death He died was the death of a common criminal. That is why God has now lifted Him so high, and has given Him the Name beyond all names, so that at The Name of Jesus, “every knee shall bow”, whether in Heaven or earth or under the earth. And that is why, in the end, “every tongue shall confess” that Jesus Christ is The Lord, to the Glory of God The Father.
Philippians 5:8-11 (PHILLIPS)

ARE YOU WEARING THE FULL ARMOR OF GOD?

To end my letter I tell you, be strong in The Lord and in His Great Power. Wear the full armor of God. Wear God’s armor so that you can fight against the devil’s clever tricks.
Ephesians 6:10-11 (ERV)

Our fight is not against people on earth. We are fighting against the rulers and authorities and the powers of this world’s darkness. We are fighting against the spiritual powers of evil in the heavenly places. That is why you need to get God’s full armor. Then on the day of evil, you will be able to stand strong. And when you have finished the whole fight, you will still be standing.
Ephesians 6:12-13 (ERV)

So stand strong with the belt of truth tied around your waist, and on your chest wear the protection of right living. On your feet wear the Good News of peace to help you stand strong. And also use the shield of faith with which you can stop all the burning arrows that come from the evil one.
Ephesians 6:14-16 (ERV)

Accept God’s Salvation as your helmet. And take The Sword of The Spirit, that Sword is The Teaching of God.
Ephesians 6:17 (ERV)

HOW DO WE GET FAITH ?

So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.
Romans 10:17 (NLT)

For by the grace given to me I say to every one of you not to think more highly of yourself than you ought to think, but to think with sober discernment, as God has distributed to each of you a measure of faith.
Romans 12:3 (NET)

The apostles came up and said to The Master, “Give us more faith.” But The Master said, “You don’t need more faith. There is no ‘more’ or ‘less’ faith. If you have a bare kernel of faith, say the size of a poppy seed, you could say to this sycamore tree, ‘Go jump in the lake,’ and it would do it.”
Luke 17:5-6 (MSG)

In reply Jesus said to the disciples, “If you only have faith in God, this is the absolute truth, you can say to the Mount of Olives, ‘Rise up and fall into the mediterranean,’ and your command will be obeyed. All that’s required is that you really believe and have no doubt!
Mark 11:23 (TLB)

Listen to Me! You can pray for anything, and if you believe, you have it; it’s yours!”
Mark 11:24 (TLB)

WHY IS FAITH SO IMPORTANT?

You can never please God without faith, without depending on Him. Anyone who wants to come to God must believe that there is a God and that He rewards those who sincerely look for Him.
Hebrews 11:6 (TLB)

We live by faith and not by sight.
II Corinthians 5:7 (CEB)

You are saved by God’s Grace because of your faith. This salvation is God’s Gift. It’s not something you possessed.
Ephesians 2:8 (CEB)

If you have faith, you will receive whatever you pray for.
Matthew 21:22 (CEB)

You may know that there is nothing wrong with what you do, even from God’s point of view, but keep it to yourself; don’t flaunt your faith in front of others who might be hurt by it. In this situation, happy is the man who does not sin by doing what he knows is right.
Romans 14:22 (TLB)

But anyone who believes that something he wants to do is wrong shouldn’t do it. He sins if he does, for he thinks it is wrong, and so for him it is wrong. Anything that is done apart from what he feels is right is sin.
Romans 14:23 (TLB)

WHAT IS FAITH?

As Jesus went into Capernaum, a centurion came up to Him, begging Him for help, and saying, “Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, with intense and terrible, tormenting pain.”
Matthew 8:5-6 (AMP)

Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him.” But the centurion replied to Him, “Lord, I am not worthy to have You come under my roof, but only say the word, and my servant will be healed. For I also am a man subject to authority of a higher rank, with soldiers subject to me; and I say to one, ‘Go!’ and he goes, and to another, ‘Come!’ and he comes, and to my slave, ‘Do this!’ and he does it.”
Matthew 8:7-9 (AMP)

When Jesus heard this, He was amazed and said to those who were following Him, “I tell you truthfully, I have not found such great faith as this with anyone in Israel.
Matthew 8:10 (AMP)

Then Jesus got into the boat and started across the lake with His disciples. Suddenly, a fierce storm struck the lake, with waves breaking into the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke Him up, shouting, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”
Matthew 8:23-25 (NLT)

Jesus responded, “Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!” Then He got up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly there was a great calm.
Matthew 8:26 (NLT)

What is faith? It is the confident assurance that something we want is going to happen. It is the certainty that what we hope for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead.
Hebrews 11:1 (TLB)

WHAT IS A FALSE CHRISTIAN?

They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!
II Timothy 3:5 (NLT)

Everything is pure to those whose hearts are pure. But nothing is pure to those who are corrupt and unbelieving, because their minds and consciences are corrupted.
Titus 1:15 (NLT)

Such people clam they know God, but they deny Him by the way they live. They are detestable and disobedient, worthless for doing anything good.
Titus 1:16 (NLT)

‘These people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me.’
Matthew 15:8 (NLT)

And I’m not changing my position on this. I’d die before taking your money. I’m giving nobody grounds for lumping me in with those money-grubbing “preachers,” vaunting themselves as something special. They’re a sorry bunch, pseudo-apostles, lying preachers, crooked workers, posing as Christ’s agents but sham to the core. And no wonder! satan does it all the time, dressing up as a beautiful angel of light. So it shouldn’t surprise us when his servants masquerade as servants of God. But they’re not getting by with anything. They’ll pay for it in the end.
II Corinthians 11:12-15 (MSG)

Someone may say, “I am a Christian; I am on my way to heaven; I belong to Christ.” But if he doesn’t do what Christ tells him to, he is a liar.
I John 2:4 (TLB)

If anyone claims, “I am living in the light,” but hates a fellow believer, that person is still living in darkness.
I John 2:9 (NLT)

So if we stay close to Him, obedient to Him, we won’t be sinning either; but as for those who keep on sinning, they should realize this: They sin because they have never really known Him or become His.
I John 3:6 (TLB)

Oh, dear children, don’t let anyone deceive you about this: if you are constantly doing what is good, it is because you are good, even as He is. But if you keep on sinning, it shows that you belong to satan, who since he first began to sin has kept steadily at it. But The Son of God came to destroy these works of the devil. The person who has been born into God’s family does not make a practice of sinning because now God’s Life is in him; so he can’t keep on sinning, for this new life has been born into him and controls him, he has been born again.
I John 3:7-9 (TLB)

So now we can tell who is a child of God and who belongs to satan. Whoever is living a life of sin and doesn’t love his brother shows that he is not in God’s family; for the message to us from the beginning has been that we should love one another.
I John 3:10-11 (TLB)

“Not all who sound religious are really godly people. They may refer to Me as ‘Lord,’ but still won’t get to heaven. For the decisive question is whether they obey My Father in heaven.
Matthew 7:21 (TLB)

At the Judgement, many will tell Me, ‘Lord, Lord, we told others about You and used Your Name to cast out demons and to do many other great miracles.’ But I will reply, ‘You have never been Mine. Go away, for your deeds are evil.’
Matthew 7:22-23 (TLB)

Therefore if anyone is in Christ, (that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior), he is a new creature (reborn and renewed by The Holy Spirit); the old things (the previous moral and spiritual condition) have passed away. Behold, new things have come because spiritual awakening brings a new life.
II Corinthians 5:17 (AMP)

HOW SHOULD WE TREAT EVIL?

The Lord loves those who hate evil; He protects the lives of His people and rescues them from the wicked.
Psalm 97:10 (TLB)

To respect The Lord means to hate evil. I hate pride and boasting, evil lives and hurtful words.
Proverbs 8:13 (ERV)

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
Romans 12:21 (ESV)

Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the foreigner or the poor. Do not plot evil against each other.
Zechariah 7:10 (NIV)

Abstain from all appearance of evil.
I Thessalonians 5:22 (KJV)

WHAT WILL HEAVEN BE LIKE?

The Holy Writings say, “No eye has ever seen or no ear has ever heard or no mind has ever thought of the wonderful things God has made ready for those who love Him.
I Corinthians 2:9 (NLV)

“In My Father’s House are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.”
John 14:2 (NKJV)

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death will not exist any more or mourning, or crying, or pain, for the former things have ceased to exist.”
Revelation 21:4 (NET)

And Jesus replied, “I assure you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”
Luke 23:43 (NLT)

The Angel speaking with me had a gold measuring stick to measure The City, its gates, and its wall. The City was laid out in a perfect square. He measured The City with the measuring stick: twelve thousand stadia, its length, width, and height all equal. Using the standard measure, The Angel measured the thickness of its wall: 144 cubits. The wall as jasper, the color of Glory, and The city was pure gold, translucent as glass. The foundations of The City walls were garnished with every precious gem imaginable: the first foundation jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, the fifth onyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eight beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst. The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate a single pearl.
Revelation 21:18-20 (MSG)

The main street of The City was pure gold, translucent as glass. But there was no sign of a Temple, for The Lord God, The Sovereign-Strong, and The Lamb are The Temple. The City doesn’t need sun or moon for light. God’s Glory is its light, the Lamb its lamp! The nations will walk in its light and earth’s kings bring in their splendor. Its gates will never be shut by day, and there won’t be any night. They’ll bring the glory and honor of the nations into The City. Nothing dirty or defiled will get into the City, and no one who defiles or deceives. Only those whose names are written in The Lamb’s Book of Life will get in.
Revelation 21:21-27 (MSG)
