HOW DOES JESUS FEEL ABOUT GOOD MANNERS?

Here is a simple, rule-of-thumb guide for behavior: Ask yourself what you want people to do for you, then grab the initiative and do it for them. Add up God’s Law and Prophets and this is what you get.
Matthew 7:12 (MSG)

When you talk, you should always be kind and wise. Then you will be able to answer everyone the way you should.
Colossians 4:6 (ERV)

Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other.
Romans 12:10 (NLT)

“Show honor to old people. Stand up when they come into the room. And show respect to your leaders. I Am The Lord.”
Leviticus 19:32 (ERV)

And so it is that the last shall be first, and the first, last.
Matthew 20:16 (TLB)

A beautiful woman lacking discretion and modesty is like a fine gold ring in a pig’s snout.
Proverbs 11:22 (TLB)

When you go out to dinner with an influential person, mind your manners: Don’t gobble your food, don’t talk with your mouth full. And don’t stuff yourself; bridle your appetite.
Proverbs 23:1-3 (MSG)

While Jesus was on the way to Jerusalem, He was passing along the border between Samaria and Galilee. As He entered a village, He was met by ten lepers who stood at a distance; and they raised their voices and called out, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” When He saw them, He said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were miraculously healed and made clean.

One of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, glorifying and praising and honoring God with a loud voice; and he lay face downward at Jesus’ Feet, thanking Him over and over. He was a Samaritan.

Then Jesus asked, “Were not ten of you cleansed? Where are the other nine? Was there no one found to return and to give thanks and praise to God, except this foreigner?” Jesus said to him, “Get up and go on your way. Your faith (your trust in Me and your confidence in God’s Power) has restored you to health.”
Luke 17:11-19 (AMP)
